For the past 14 years, our organization has proudly collaborated with up to 20 senior homes each year, engaging approximately 90 seniors monthly during the summer. Our dedicated team of eight board members includes three captains who are Transport Canada Small Vessel Operator Proficiency (SVOP) certified. Since our inception in September 2009, we have been fortunate to acquire a 24-foot Princecraft pontoon boat, a cornerstone of our program, enabling us to deliver exceptional experiences for our participants.
At Therapeutic Lake Cruises Society, we collaborate with special needs groups within our community to schedule their summer cruises. Our availability is on a first-come, first-served basis. Cruises typically last 1-2 hours and operate Monday through Friday, weather permitting, departing from Dockside Marina on the west side of the bridge. Our boat accommodates seven to ten people, including one wheelchair user, and requires the presence of two able-bodied persons among the passengers.
Without your generous help, the Therapeutic Lake Cruises Society would have never reached the goal of owning and operating this pontoon vessel. So, thank you! Special thanks to:
